at least 21 years of age by application date, high school
diploma or G.E.D. Prior law enforcement experience or college
courses in criminal justice or a related Associates or Bachelor's

We are now accepting applications for the Spring 2009 class which will run from February 11, 2009 to April 22, 2009 every Wednesday at
6:30 pm to approximately 9:30 pm, with a week off for spring break on March 18th.

POLICE YOUTH ACADEMY - The Lenexa Police Youth Academy is designed to help youth learn about the Police Department
and gain a better understanding of the intellectual side of law enforcement. Two 1-week sessions will be offered during
the summer for youth between 13-17 years of age.
